A universal reinterpretation of African choral singing that calls for the blending of cultures and sounds (the purity of the voices blends here with the accents of cello and steel drums). A very tonic cocktail of rhythms and vocal harmonies, distilled with sensitivity. Surrounded by five singers and instrumentalists (steel drums and cello), Simon Nwambeben revisits the Bafia vocal tradition of Cameroon, where he is from, to offer a universal interpretation. A music that seduces as much by the quality and originality of it's vocal arrangements, evoking the great tradition of African choirs, as by the invention and inspiration of the leader, to whom we also owe a remarkable work of support to percussion.
