Hailing from Harrisburgh, Pennsylvania, The Five Chanels were led by lead vocalist Sharon Scott and were the prot?g?s of Julius Dixon, a veteran songwriter whose successes included (as co-writer) the Chordettes' 1958 smash ?Lollipop÷ and Bill Halley's ?Dim Dim the Lights.÷ Presented here are three singles (six songs) the group recorded for Dixon?s Deb label in 1958 and 1959. All selections have been newly remastered.
