Description
Creative, headstrong Charlie is nothing like her conventional parents. So when a card arrives on her 18th birthday and reveals that her real father is William Malone, a man she's never met, he seems like the missing piece she's been yearning for. Impulsively recruiting Oz, a homeless man she met at work, to be her 'responsible adult', Charlie sets out to drive to Scotland on her provisional licence, in search of her real Dad, and the truth about herself. On the journey north in their little yellow car, this mismatched duo must dodge suspicious cops, navigate a breakdown in a dogging hotspot, and a bona fide medical emergency, in which Oz reveals himself curiously knowledgeable about the human heart. Along the way, Charlie discovers more about herself, about Oz, and about growing up, than she ever bargained for. When they finally reach the remote, spectacular Isle of Skye, and come face to face with William, Charlie and Oz discover that sometimes there really is no place like home.
