Ode to the Unknown Factory Worker, revisits many themes from the African American tradition. A spontaneous comeback for the New Zealand-born singer and pianist, Leila Adu, who has arranged entirely on her own the parts of her new album. Symptomatic of her evolution, the album-the fourth in her portfolio-uses a back to the basics approach.
