Memories From The Heart was created by Wolfgang with his band, The Aesculap Company, to commemorate the 20th anniversary of the passing of icon musician and environmentalist, John Denver. Wolfgang has been singing Denver songs since his early teens and even though he chose a career as a medical doctor, he has continued his love for the songs of John Denver with the tribute of Memories From The Heart. Wolfgang and his wife, Natascha who is a beautiful guitarist, have played John's music for charities involved with cancer research for children in Austria and have raised many thousands for this cause. Wolfgang and Mehrzad Montazeri, Vienna's most notable tenor, sing "Eagle Spirit" on the album with a beautiful blend of Wolfgang's gentle voice and Mehrzad's powerful voice that creates a lovely and harmonious tribute to the song. Memories Of The Heart is the expression of love and respect for the talent and poetry of John Denver's music. The poet is silenced but the music lives on.
