Alpha Blondy helped create the template for 'world music' in the 1980's with a unique Pop Reggae sound that spawned hits across the globe. Released in 1984, COCODY ROCK set the stage for international stardom for Alpha Blondy. The strong hooks of the 'sings-song' title track, "Bory Samory", "Super Powers" and "Interplanetary Revolution" established this artist as a multi-lingual Pop talent with musicality and wit to spare. His work helped to create a place for Reggae on the international marketplace and this album is still regarded as a classic.
