The Appalachians is a broad focus, investigating numerous aspects of life in and around the Appalachian Mountains including history, music, religion, literature, art, ethnicity, economic climate and fiscal ties to the country. Documentary writer-producer Phyllis Geller and executive producer Mari-Lynn Evans tour this area in depth, offering a multi-layered socio-cultural exploration of the region, accompanied by a soundtrack of Appalachian folk and acoustic music. This documentary was originally produced by and for Nashville, Tennessee PBS affiliates.
