Single dad Paul (Nicolas Cage) has maintained a strict nighttime curfew at his rural home for his teen twin sons Joseph (Jaeden Martell) and Thomas (Maxwell Jenkins) since infancy. It's understandable, as at that time, Earth was overrun with alien invaders that prey at night. However, having snuck out to meet the neighbor girl (Sadie Soverall), Thomas found himself trapped outside after dark-and setting up peril for his whole family.
