Bach,J.S. / Goede,Rainer Clavier Ubung: Third Part CD

Through to the instrument built by Johann Christoph Wiegleb between 1736 and 1739 for the collegiate church St. Gumbertus in Ansbach, organ building within the area of Thuringia and Franconia was developed towards an important culmination. Not only the fact that the dimension of the incomparable building with 47 voiced at three manuals and pedal were unique and somehow representative for the holding of court of the absolutist margrave Carl Wilhelm Friedrcih von Brandenburg-Ansbach, but also because the remarkable character of the registers attributed an unique musical importance for the instrument.
