Hansj?rg Albrecht is considered a fearless musical border crosser and an unorthodox thinker. He consistently pursues his own path as a conductor - between the Baroque period and the present age, between the archives and new creations - and he has established himself amongst the virtuosi of his instrument with his organ transcriptions. He is the artistic director of the Munich Bach Choir & Bach Orchestra and, besides his similarly long-standing cooperation with the San Carlo Opera in Naples, he regularly conducts the Bach Collegium in Munich and the CPE Bach Choir in Hamburg. Since 2006, a contract has tied Albrecht to OehmsClassics, with which he has hitherto presented more than 20 much-heeded albums. The release of the complete edition of Clavier ?bung I-IV is another milestone in his discography with OehmsClassics.
