Backer,Matt Idle Hands CD

2012 album from the guitarist and singer/songwriter. Produced by Matt and his long-time collaborator Ian Shaw (Nick Heyward, Julian Cope), Idle Hands features a little help from Matt's friends. Julian Lennon (whom Matt has toured the world with, and played on his last two albums) co-wrote, produced, and shares lead vocals on the anthemic single 'All That You've Wanted'. a portion of the proceeds from the single will go to Julian's charity, the White Feather Foundation, which embraces environmental and humanitarian issues around the world. Matt Backer has performed with a wide array of artists including Aimee Mann, Steve Earle, Emmylou Harris, Kim Wilde, Swing Out Sister, Elton John, Cher, Joe Cocker and Alice Cooper, amongst others. His most recent solo album, the Impulse Man, resulted in two US Independent Music Network Number 1 singles and won Best Adult Contemporary Newcomer at the New Music Awards in L.A.
