Description
Down-on-his-luck American director Harry Dawes (Humphrey Bogart) was under orders to discover a new leading lady, and found her in lovely Madrid cabaret dancer Maria Vargas (Ava Gardner). As she quickly realized the stardom projected for her, however, fate would craft a cruel end to her script. Joseph L.
