Count Basie delivers a spectacular show from Carnegie Hall, recorded on March 20, 1981 in one of his last televised performances. One of the premier Jazz programs for CBS cable and nominated for a Cable Ace award for excellence, this All-Star tribute celebrates the fiftieth anniversary of Count Basie's illustrious career. Features guess appearances by Sarah Vaughn, George Benson, Joe Williams and Tony Bennett. The program was nominated for a Cable ACE Award. The performance was installed in the Library of Congress. One of the last recorded performances by Count Basie. Comparable to Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Glen Miller and Cab Calloway.
