Description
Sam Cooke's producer Bumps Blackwell put members of Perez Prado's orchestra and Hollywood jazz musicians together in an ill-fated attempt at Latin/Rock and Roll crossover back in 1958. The album flopped, but now, some 45 years later, the record is a Latin lounge treasure, highlighted by mambo/cha cha cha versions of Raunchy; Nature Boy, and Frenesi along with some hot originals. A nice find!
