The album contains original pieces, written together by Lello and Tollak, besides the very personal reinterpretation of some new soul classics. The friendship and artistic collaboration that binds them convinces Tollak to submit a demo to the great Jimmy Haslip, bass player for the mythical Yellow Jackets. Haslip so appreciated it that he expressed the desire to play in one of the pieces and he summoned Robben Ford and Russell Ferrante.
