A vocalist who sang with the orchestras of Louis Armstrong in the late 1930?s, Duke Ellington and Luis Russell in the early 1950?s, Bobbe (Bobbie) Caston?s last known recording was a early R&B affair on the tiny New York based Atlas Records label ?Call Me Darling, Call Me Sweetheat, Call Me Dear÷ b/w ?Why Wasn?t I Told,÷ released in 1958. ?Call Me Darling÷ is actually a modern update of the same song Bobbe recorded in 1947 with Teddy Buckner and his orchestra. Presented here is the original 45 RPM issue, newly remastered.
