Daughter of renowned gospel singer Reverend Julius Cheeks, Judy Cheeks is primarily known as a dance music singer who experienced success in the late 1970's, and then had a career resurgence in the 1990's with a string of dance chart hits including two #1 singles. Presented here is Ms. Cheeks first recordings featuring a decidedly soul music vibe and some choice classic material including Dan Penn & Spooner Oldham's "A Woman Left Lonely," Carole King's "No Easy Way Down," and Dolly Parton's "Touch Your Woman."
