Description
The Chordettes formed as a female vocal group in 1946 and originally recorded as a barbershop quartet for Columbia. Archie Bleyer, the group's music director, signed them to his Cadence record label, with the result being the group's first big hit, "Mr. Sandman" in 1954. Other top hits followed, including "Eddie My Love," "Born To Be With You" and the #2 hit "Lollipop." Other hits featured on this collection include "Just Between You & Me," "Lay Down Your Arms" and "Never On Sunday."
