Description
Cinema is a current band playing Progressive rock, continuing the tradition of the famous Japanese School (OUTER LIMITS, PAGEANT, VERMILION SANDS...). No reason to be surprised, when one knows that two of it's musicians took part of the funny-named FROMAGE, which represents a legend of the local scene of the Eighties. Cinema endeavors today to produce a blazing symphonic music nicely completed with very pleasant Japanese female vocals and large orchestral parts. After a first album entitled "The Seven Stories" (1997), a brilliant "Into the State of Flux" was released some three years later on the Musea label. "Mindscape" (2004) is certainly the album showing the greater maturity. These seven refined and subtle pieces are enhanced by piano, cello and violin parts, played with great delicacy.
