Description
You would never believe he once worked as a pipefitter. So it's fitting that this legendary singer made a transition to fame and notoriety with the amazing pipes he could sing with. Joe Cocker's career exploded after an appearance at the first Woodstock Festival. In that period, he was and still is regarded as an amazing interpreter. Taking on what would become Beatles classics like - With a Little Help from My Friends," "She Came in Through the Bathroom Window," and "Something" (All included here), he gave them all a unique twist. With a maestro Leon Russell contributing "Delta Lady" as musical director of famed Mad Dogs & Englishmen tour which Cocker headlined, down the musical highway the repertoire became as varied as spinning the Allman Brothers "Midnight Rider" in typically gruff form to the Billy Preston-Bruce Fisher-penned landmark "You Are So Beautiful" complete with it's emotional finale. The sound and style have remained uncompromisingly pure Joe Cocker, with the belting and gyrating still signature of his amazing singing talents.
