This is Michelle Conte's (jazz guitarist Mark Elf's sister) debut recording. With marvelous intonation and a smooth style, she sings the melody, not around it! Michelle brings to the female vocal world a refreshing sound with a true understanding of the lyrics. She's a native of Long Island, N.Y. and now lives and sings in the San Francisco Bay Area. This CD contains 12 great standards and two tunes never heard before, and also includes an all-star rhythm section featuring Concord recording artist Allen Farnham, Criss Cross recording artist Walt Weiskopf, and Jen Bay recording artist Mark Elf (who is well known with 7 Consecutive #1 Radio Jazz Chart Hits).
