Description
Buddy DeFranco has been recognised as one of the great jazz clarinettists since the mid 40s. This 1974 album marks a start of the "new" Buddy, the music on this session finds Buddy experimenting with a more ballsy sound on his then new Japanese clarinet. Buddy's respect for well-rounded musicians is exemplified in the personnel he assembled for this album which features jazz newcomer John Chiodini (pronounced Kewdeenee) on guitar, Victor Feldman on piano and electric piano, notable jazz bassist Victor Sproles and the versatile drummer Joe Cocuzzo.
