Description
In mid-'60s North Carolina, lonely 10-year-old Harriet Frankovitz (Evan Rachel Wood) fantasized about escaping her dreary existence with her motel-running mom (Cathy Moriarty) and sister (Mary Stuart Masterson). Having befriended the institution-bound, mentally challenged adult Ricky Schroth (Kevin Bacon), she'd find a companion to go on the run with after a shattering family secret comes to light.
