For the Beauty of the Earth is a dazzling celebration of the creation of the earth. The contemporary works, which feature brass, organ, and percussion, come from some of the most prominent composers of the day, such as David Marlatt, Charles Widor, and James Curnow. Especially notable is David Marlatt's Earthscape, which is a beautiful lyrical work inspired by the view of our planet from outer space.
