One of the 1940?s top swing jazz bandleaders, trumpeter Les Elgart later defined the ?easy listening÷ sound of the mid 1950?s through the mid 1960?s. On this rare album, originally released in 1979, Les and the band cover a nice selection of standards including hit dance tune ?Alley Cat,÷ Brazil÷ and pop standards of the 1930?s and 1940?s. All selections have been newly remastered.
