For 'III Sides To Every Story', Extreme dug into their influences and roots to produce a high-concept three-part album, Yours, Mine and the Truth. One of the most talented rock bands of the late 20th century, Extreme, created some of the more diverse rock albums from that era. Infusing their guitar driven hard rock with moments of funk, metal, lounge crooning, prog elements and even some rap on "Cupid's Dead", it was anything but standard and predictable.
