Description

2009 two CD collection. Throughout the 1950's, Tal Farlow dominated modern Jazz guitar. Self-taught, Farlow quickly became revered for his adventurous sense of harmony and a breathtaking virtuosic technique which earned him the nickname the Octopus due to his large hands and long fingers. This double disc set comprises recordings of Farlow in Los Angeles fronting some of that city's finest Jazz musicians. By way of a bonus, we've included six wondrous tracks featuring the Red Norvo Trio (with Farlow) at it's creative peak. 35 tracks.
