Fast Folk founder Jack Hardy introduces the album with an article in the liner notes on the process of songwriting. "Why do we do this?" Hardy asks; and answers: "If we slow down the world by stopping the chatter of the mundane we can begin to marvel at the simplest of ordinary objects and events.
