Forest City Peloton CD

CD in handcrafted, hand stamped and hand numbered package. Limited to 250. Debut album Peloton of French-Swedish constellation Forest City leaves an atmosphere as much of a home's comfort as of deep oceans and industry areas. Recorded throughout 2011 and 2012, in a cut-and-paste procedure between the three band members Christophe Bailleau, CJ Larsg?rden and Thomas Jonsson with help from singer and guitarist Philippe Franck. Peloton moves in a slowly transcending drone soundscape, stabile yet multifaceted. With dense layers of electro-acoustic elements and long sweeping notes, pierced with ocassional vocal lines, Forest City barely reveals their songs' building stones. After being signed to the same label half a decade ago (Stilll Records), the French prolific experimental artist Christophe Bailleau hooked up with the persons behind Swedish folktronica duo a Perfect Friend; drone artist C-J Larsg?rden (Ondo, Yrsel) and indie-folkster Thomas Jonsson (I'm Kingfisher). Eventually they started the recording and compiling process of Peloton, intense both in mind and action before reaching completion, positioning themselves in an experimental yet accessible landscape.
