Description
Germany, 1919: Having lost her fianc? Frantz in the Great War, Anna (Paula Beer) was well resigned to a life of joining his parents (Ernst St?tzner, Marie Gruber) in perpetual mourning. One day, however, young Frenchman Adrien (Pierre Niney) began making regular visits to Frantz's grave... and, when approached by Anna, asserted that they'd had a friendship. The two bereaveds form a bond, but will it survive the shocking truth that Adrien harbors?
