Description
EBM was a real time bomb. A set of sounds, collages and extracts gleaned here and there, dynamized by intense vocal parts, it would continue to influence a lot of other groups in the years that followed. Without Front 242's Front by Front, there would never have been a Nine Inch Nails. An important album in the discography of the founding fathers of EBM, Front 242 created it's own path and then laid the foundations for industrial electronic music. This development of rhythms would be resampled in turn by a number of eurobeat or technoid bands that came after. Boosted by the success of the single "Headhunter", which remains their most famous track to this day, Front 242 finally emerged from the shadows to become the most accessible ambassadors of EBM.
