Description
Import pressing of the 2008 album from the prolific Oxford-based singer/songwriter includes one bonus track: 'U Spin Me Around'. The album's songs were inspired by numerous events in Thea's life including depression, leaving her label and her rocky relationship with her boyfriend and the birth of her first child. Over the years, Gilmore has jealously preserved her outsider status, despite being courted by various mainstream labels. She has proved herself as one of the few songwriters of her generation who truly deserves the label 'indie', in it's old sense of genuine artistic independence rather than in the often misused sense of having an asymmetrical haircut. The album features duets with Joan Baez and Dave McCabe (The Zutons).
