PITCHFORK "Sleep Late for a Better Tomorrow is full of strange, sweet melodies" TIME OUT NEW YORK "Dirty on Purpose channels the ghost of mid-90s Yo La Tengo" GOTHAMIST Dirty on Purpose's debut album "Hallelujah Sirens" (Jun 2006) and EP "Sleep Late for a Better Tomorrow" (Sep 2004) are coming to vinyl for the first time, available in stores September 5th, 2025. The remastered audio is packaged as a gatefold, double, seaweed colored vinyl release, with a double sided 12" x 24" poster and collage printed inner sleeves. Limited 250 copies. Dirty on Purpose, the shoegazer-inspired indie rock band from early 2000s New York, has a sound that evokes bands like Yo La Tengo, Sonic Youth, and the Sundays and has been described as "blurry, constantly in motion" by Pitchfork. Formed in Brooklyn in 2002, the original lineup featured multiple vocalists with keyboardist Erika Forster, guitarists Joseph Jurewicz and George Wilson, drummer Doug Marvin, and bassist D.J. Boudreau. Erika Forster later departed to join Au Revoir Simone before the release of "Hallelujah Sirens.
