This mid-price compilation collects together 14 Robert Johnson-penned somgs that Hammond recorded for the Vanguard label between 1965 and 1978. Most are recorded, like Johnson's originals, on solo acoustic guitar, while the last four tracks include a full band, indeed the Band, as he is backed by the Hawks, featuring Robbie Robertson, Levon Helm and Garth Hudson.
