2014 album from the renowned sax player featuring guest appearances from Wynton Marsalis and Dee Dee Bridgewater. With this album, saxophonist Craig Handy reinterprets, in his own New Orleans style, ten numbers made famous by Jimmy Smith, the father of the modern Jazz organ. In approaching the sessions, for the 2nd Line Smith band, Hand recruited Soul Jazz specialists Kyle Koehler on Hammond B-3 and Matt Chertkoff on guitar, sousaphone virtuoso Clark Gayton and well-known New Orleans drummers Jason Marsalis, Herlin Riley and Ali Jackson.
