Ted Hearne, composer, singer, and bandleader, wrote this modern day oratorio for seven musicians and four singers. 'The Source tells the life and story of the US Army Private who leaked thousands of classified documents to WikiLeaks, Chelsea Manning. Mark Doten, the librettist for this interesting and thought provoking work, brings together Twitter feeds, cable news reports, court testimonies, and declassified military videos to tell the story of Manning.
