Stridemonster! Is the piano playing twosome of Dick Hyman and Dick Well stood. They revere the works of James P. Johnson, Fats Waller, Willie "The Lion" Smith and all the other early stride monsters, and they create their music in that spirit of wanton heed and cunning abandon. This is the CD reissue of the original Unisson LP, and it includes an additional tune ("Froggie Moore" issued here for the first time) from the original 1986 studio session as well as 3 performances from Stridemonster's June 1987 appearance at Toronto's Harbourfront.
