Albacore, tuna, marlin, makos, threshers and swordfish swarmed around Catalina and San Clemente Islands giving the resident white sea bass, yellowtail, bass, barracuda and bonita a run for their money. With the elimination of the inshore gillnets, the crocker and halibut have made an amazing comeback in these waters. And when conditions are right, the offshore fishing can be incredible.
