Daddy Takechiyo and Tokyo Otoboke Cats are a comic band with outstanding technique that took the world by storm with their parodies of famous artists, provocative lyrics, and extreme performances. They debuted in 1978 with the single 'Denki Kurage' and released their third single 'Tsuri no DJ' in 1980. This is a one-of-a-kind collaboration where Yamashita Tatsuro's sophisticated city pop-style song resonates with Daddy Takechiyo's lyrics that mock radio DJs. The B-side is a completely different song, the soulful 'Easy Girl,' which mixes pop music, funk, and Latin with tight brass sections at key points.
