Description
Jiang presents highly tuneful piano & instrumental music from the Great Chinese Cultural Revolution of 1966-76. His repertoire is almost completely unknown in the West, and this album features "propaganda music," music from tribal Chinese minorities, and works by politically persecuted composers. Instrumentation includes bamboo flute, pipa & Chinese hand drum.
