Digitally remastered two-fer containing a pair of terrific albums from the greatest voice in country music. Cold Hard Truth released in 1999 was acclaimed as George Jones' return to real hardcore country. With Keith Stegall producing, it was back to the sound of a quarter of a century earlier - a collection of strong songs that varied between belters and ballads backed with simple, straightforward instrumentation. The album reached #5 in the Billboard country chart and #53 in the Pop chart. Three singles were taken from the album 'Choices', 'The Cold Hard Truth' and 'Sinners & Saints'. Background vocalists include Vince Gill and Patty Loveless. Live With The Possum was also released in 1999 but the concert was actually recorded in May 1993. It features many of the songs that have given George a phenomenal career including his signature song 'He Stopped Loving Her Today'.
