2009 release from the Scottish cult singing/songwriting mainstay Kenny Anderson (AKA King Creosote). Flick the Vs is another fantastic collection of beat backed Folk tunes, laced with wistful '70s AM melodies, samples and subtle wry playfulness. King Creosote (who discovered KT Tunstall) is still living on the Marie Celeste that is Crail, North East Fife, and his umpteenth long player Flick the Vs is the first addition in three years to his almost 40+ album catalog (most of them private CD-Rs). First single 'Coast on By' (featuring Beta Band's Steve Mason) is an irresistibly fun piece of acoustic pop that rasps with an angry electro-bass Synth breaking into a Dexy's infused Motown stomp.
