Description
This veteran Swedish big band has been playing their music for the past 30 years, and they still tour regularly all over the world. These valuable cultural ambassadors for Sweden had at one time trumpeter Bent Persson as a member, and their new CD, "The Man from Harlem," was originally released on the Swedish Sittel label. The band has evolved slightly over 30 years, moving from the music of Luis Russell to a more centrist approach to the music of the '20's & '30's, featuring some wonderful early Ellington rarities and songs by Cab Calloway, Count Basie and Roger Wolf Kahn.
