Barry G. Nichols (Level) is a sound researcher, artist and designer working in the UK also known as Si-COMM and ECM:323. He has been active in the experimental scene for the last 22 years and here is his latest project under his new disguise Level. An exercise in compositional restraint, LEVEL create fractured melodies, and disjointed atmospheres. Fragments of piano chords and shattered rhythms spontaneously cohere for brief moments, and then disappear into the ether to re-form elsewhere within the sound field. 2006.
