Pete Lincoln has had an interesting and varied career, both as a touring and recording musician with artists as diverse as Shakin' Stevens, Cliff Richard and Tina Turner, and as frontman for Sailor and now the Sweet. Featuring 12 of Pete's original songs, Soul Searching is his long-awaited solo release and showcases a variety of styles, rooted in the singer/songwriter genre. Sweet fans may be surprised, but definitely not disappointed, by this 'other side' to Pete's character, however those who have followed Pete's solo career, and his Human Juke Box shows will know just what to expect from this fine collection. The opening track, the reggae-infused All at Sea, is the first single to be taken from the album, and with it's hooky chorus, gets things off to a great start. We move on through the country-rock of Be My Witness and the bluesier Wait Another Day, to the funky and cheeky Let's Have An Argument.
