Lovin' Soonful were an American Rock band who had it's roots in the folk music scene based in the Greenwich Village section of lower Manhattan during the early. Fronted by John Sebastian (also known for his impromptu appearance at the Woodstock festival in 1969)The bands roots were firmly planted in the Folk music Scene and Daydream was their second Album which was first released in 1966 by Karma Sutra Records and featured two hits, the title track "Daydream", which reached No. 2 in the U.S. and UK charts, and "You Didn't Have to Be So Nice" (U.S. No. 10).Lovin' Spoonful were inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2000 and well known for a number of hit songs in the 1960s. The track Butchies' Tune featured on the final scene of the Mad Men season five, episode "Commissions and Fees".
