Description

The album explores McCracklin's career with twenty-eight carefully selected recordings. The album begins it's musical journey in 1948 with Big Foot Mama when McCracklin was homing his style to perfection, then the timespan moves forward to 1950 through to 1962. The early titles were hard-hitting R&B rockers and prime examples are; Rockin' All Day, Just Won't Let Her Go, and She Felt Too Good. The middle 1950s heralded new musical directions with the piano boogies, I Wanna Make Love To You, Savoy Jump, and Everybody Rock. From this period, you will also be enthralled by the prenominal rockers, Georgia Slop, The Wobble, and his biggest hit the stroll-tempo The Walk. Then through to 1962, he recorded more classic movers and shakers, He Knows The Rules, The Drag, and Trottin. The album climaxes with three songs from Jerry Thomas, Johnny Parker, and Jimmy Wilson and His Blues Blasters which McCracklin accompanied on piano. The album is annotated by well-known Dee Jay and face on the music scene Mark Armstrong, who has been Dee Jaying since his early teen years. The concept is brought visually to life by design artist Urban Zotel, who is additionally a working musician, and the recordings are remastered at The Studio That Time Forgot, El Paso Texas.
