Nine-piece Melbourne-based Jazz ensemble Menagerie features some of Australia's finest musicians, including pianistáMark Fitzgibbon, drummeráDaniel Farrugiaáand saxophonistáPhil Noy, and was founded by producer, guitarist, DJ áLance Ferguson. The hypnotic spoken word-poem is evocative ofáThe Last Poets,áan earthy yet futuristic meditation on the universal theme of freedom itself, set to a backdrop of insistent percussion, double bass and brooding piano voicings.
