In My Dog Shep, an orphan boy on his way to live with his uncle picks up a stray dog, and the two become fast friends. Then in Shep Comes Home, when social workers try to separate orphan Billy Kimberly from his dog Shep, boy and dog head west, teaming up en route with a Mexican immigrant. When an Arizona sheriff is wounded by robbers, and the Mexican is wrongly accused of the crime, Billy and Shep must bring the true culprits to justice.
