Mythos In Nomine CD

In Nomine is a promising current Spanish band, that pursues an unusual path: playing symphonic Progressive rock influenced by THE POLICE ! Some compositions of "Mutatis Mutandis", first album published in the year 2000 by the Musea label, resemble the atmospheric "Wrapped Around Your Finger" or other compositions from "Synchronicity". Beyond this anecdote, the music evokes groups such as MARILLION or ARENA in the general tone, or even the YES of "Drama". Let's also note the guest appearance of Jesus FILARDI, singer of GALADRIEL. Against all odds, In Nomine came back five years later with it's second opus: "Mythos" (2005) is a new and complete achievement, though very different from the first one. This concept-album based on some of the most famous Greek myths, shows a spirit both ambitious and mature, as well as some jazz-rock and polyphonic aspects not unlike ECHOLYN's at times. One could find guitar parts reminding of Steve HACKETT's solo works, and organ parts evoking MINIMUM VITAL.
